The museum-estate of V.I. Surikov has been carefully preserving the traditions of Cossack life and a unique collection of works by the Russian painter Vasily Surikov for more than half a century. This is an amazing place on the map of Russia, with which the name of the Russian artist and many stages of his life and work are associated. In the very center of the bustling million–strong Krasnoyarsk there is a corner of the distant past - the Museum-Estate of V.I. Surikov.
After entering the gate, the guests find themselves in the world of old Krasnoyarsk. A Cossack manor of the XIX - early XX centuries appears before them, including a family house, an outbuilding, outbuildings, a vegetable garden.
In addition, the Museum keeps original letters and photographs of the artist, his personal belongings and the belongings of his family. The Museum houses the archival fund of the largest Soviet researcher of Surikov's work, V.S.Kemenov, including author's manuscripts, correspondence, photographs and recordings of Surikov's daughters and son–in-law's memoirs about the artist's life and work.
