The winners and prize-winners of the second interregional children's sledge hockey tournament "Yenisei Ice 2022" were determined in Krasnoyarsk. Four sledge hockey teams: "Red Lightning" (Krasnoyarsk), the National Team of the Novosibirsk region, "Mammoths of Ugra" (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug) and "Ural Wolves" (Yekaterinburg) played prize medals.
Sledge hockey (sledge hockey) is a team sports game on ice, an analogue of ice hockey for people with disabilities. The game consists in the confrontation of two teams on a special sledge, which, passing the puck with sticks, tend to throw it the greatest number of times into the opponent's goal and not miss their own. The team that scored the most goals in the opponent's goal wins.
The tournament is designed to strengthen the tradition of holding large-scale sports entertainment events for athletes with disabilities in the region.
The "gold" of the tournament was taken by the national team from the Novosibirsk region. "Silver" — the team "Red lightning". The Ural Wolves team from Yekaterinburg took the third place, and the awards for the fourth place were taken away by the players from Khanty—Mansiysk sledge hockey team "Mammoths of Ugra".
